One good thing about Portuguese waters is that fish will take on almost anything, that includes simple baits like sweet corn, wheat, beans, chick peas, noodles, maggots, baked potatoes, worms, fries, etc.

Most consistent baits in Portugal are Corn (sweet or not) and 10mm to 20mm Boilies, beign Scopex and Banana the flavours that work more often ...

Also clear baits have a tendecy to work generally better than dark ones but. But there is not really a pattern for that as I get a lot of fish on dark baits too.

Of course a good bait is always a good bait and I love to roll and boil some, tough lately I've been using a lot of NASH ready made baits with very nice results, and I can tell you now that I've already got fish in all of their flavous, from Maple or Pinnaple to Monster Pursuit or B2 ... All of them ...!!!
